Happy 2 months Lily Grace

I seriously can't believe our little baby is already 2 months old!

Dear Lily,
You are the sweetest little girl anyone could ask for. You are a chunk, but you are the cutest little chunk I've ever seen. You weigh 11 pounds and 12 ounces, and are 23 inches long. You also have a very large head, in the 95th percentile. Maybe you are going to be a very smart lady and need some extra space up there?! :) You still love your bath time every night, even when I unroll your neck rolls to clean them out. You are wearing a variety of sizes of clothes, you can still fit into a few newborn outfits, but for the most part you are in 3 months. You somehow find a way to poop your body weight each day, and yesterday you just happen to do so all over mommy and the couch. You are still sleeping next to our bed, but have started sleeping 5-6 hours at a time. You love to be on the go, whether its in the car or in your stroller. You tease us with a smile and laugh occasionally but you won't do it a lot just yet. You started making lots of noises at us like you are trying to tell us something. You can sit up in your bumbo, but you still kind of look like a bobble head. You have started to enjoy your swing and bouncy chair a lot more, and love to stare out the window while you are in your swing. Don't grow up too fast now Lily bug, we are trying to soak up as much baby time as possible!!

The challenges of parenthood...so far anyway

There are always going to be things we are unsure of as parents:

-When do I try to put Lily in her crib to sleep? I have tried and she screamed bloody murder. I can't take it. parent fail.
- How much should she be sleeping? Some nights its 4 hours straight, some its 2
-Why haven't I lost all my baby weight yet? It only took me 10 months to gain it all, why isn't it gone in 2? and Why am I so out of shape? ha!
- Why can't I get this baby on any kind of schedule?
- Did she just have an explosive poop out of her diaper and all over me? gross. this happens often.
-How can I balance my work life with my home life?
-What can I cook for dinner in 5 minutes?
-Shit- I haven't washed any clothes in 2 weeks. oops.
- Why won't she stop crying? See the vibrating bathtub made into a bed below :)
- Why do the makers of baby clothes all insist on making their  0-3 month clothes all different sizes?!?!
- And most frequently- have I brushed my teeth today? I cant even remember what I had for breakfast!
- Why won't she smile?! So serious all the time. I think I can count on one hand how many smiles I have seen out of that baby.

Let me just say that over the past 2 months there have been things I have caught myself saying things that
a. I never thought I would say and
b. I thought other people who said it were out of their minds

She has changed so much over the past almost 2 months! Here is some documentation:

(above: left: the closest I have gotten a photographed smile  right: call me maybe?)
(below: left: she likes her bumbo)

Here are some of my baby pictures vs. her.
Can you tell she's mine? The verdict is still out
(Please no fat jokes- I know I was a huge baby)
