Getting ready for Baby Lily Grace

Well we just had my 36 week appointment with my midwife at Tripler and the days of "just the two of us" are nearly over. Considering that Austin and I have been together since high school and married for 4 years already, you would think that it wouldn't be such a big deal to us but no matter how much I try to prepare myself it is still crazy to think that we are having a baby! The past 9 months in itself has been eye opening, I still look down at my stomach every day and can't believe that I am growing a little person in there.

Everyone keeps asking us "Are you ready?!" and the only thing I can respond with is that we are as ready as we will ever be. We are blessed to have terrific friends and family who threw two showers for us, one in Texas and one in Hawaii. They were definitely a huge help with stocking up on the baby necessities and goodies that we will be utilizing in the coming months! We have her nursery ready, she has a closet full of clothes, and we are stocked up on diapers.  I still don't think anything will actually fully set in until we are holding her in the hospital.

My official due date is January 30th, however she can come anytime after this next Wednesday the 9th and be considered full term. The hospital bags are packed, and Austin has a decent idea of where the labor and delivery is in the hospital! haha.  I don't think she plans on taking it easy on me at all and coming before my due date, however a girl can hope. The last month of pregnancy is pretty much miserable and I am looking forward to meeting our little princess. My mom gets here on the 18th of this month and will be here to help us through February. Considering Austin and I have no clue exactly what we are in for, Ivy decided to fly to us to help out. We are so thankful for this! :)

Here are a few pictures of her nursery. The extra room upstairs in our house is pretty small so we didn't have a lot to work with. Austin painted and put up the white beadboard in her room. I am not a huge fan of pink so we decided to use more neutral colors. The sign above her crib is my favorite thing in her nursery. It was one of the first things I bought. My Nana used to sing that song to me when I was a little girl.
