5 Months. This is for all those people who wonder if they want kids, because I was one of them.

You may or may not know (depending on how well you know me) that I was not one of those people jumping for joy to have kids. I thoroughly enjoyed going out on Friday nights, and sleeping in in the mornings. There was a period in my 20's where I thought I might not ever have kids. After Austin and I got married, I knew that we would procreate one day. It came faster than I thought, but he was ready. I am still not sure if we will ever have more than one. For me to even consider having another is a HUGE deal, but if we do it will be a LONG WHILE. I have never really liked kids (in general), and I still don't. I love MY baby, but I am not the person that grabs newborn babies to hold, or baby talks to random children in the grocery store. With that preface, I can say with my whole heart that after only 5 months with this little angel, I love her more than anything in the whole world and I cannot imagine my life without her. Partly because she is 1/2 me 1/2 Austin (even though she looks more like 100% Austin) and I harvested her for 10 long months, but mostly because she makes my heart smile every time I look at her. She already has such a personality, and even when she's sleeping in the next room I miss her smiling face.

And seriously, how could you not love that little rolly polly?

Aloha Nana & Ya-Ya

Four generations

My mom (Ya-ya) and Nana (Nana) just left us after being here for almost 3 weeks. It absolutely flew by, but I am so happy that they got to experience so many firsts with Lily. It was the first time my Nana met Lily, so of course she was a smitten kitten. Lily had 8 hands to her little self, and oh boy was she spoiled. We are so happy and thankful they got to stay with us, we had so much fun! We love them and miss them already!

Ya-Ya

We just made 5 months (thats local Hawaiian talk rubbing off on me for all you mainlanders) and oh so much is going on:
We have our first tooth!
We eat baby food

We lover our jumper

We sit with the grown ups

We swim

We almost sit up all by ourself

We play with toys
Austin Face

We smile all the time

We roll over & we have decided that we like to hear ourself scream and talk gibberish.

Lily also makes the funniest faces. I wish I had my camera ready at all times, because they are hilarious!

Mom and Nana started called Lily "The Judge" after this picture. I am not sure why, but it fits.
I also commonly refer to her as "The Lily"

According to my best friend Sara, motherhood has made me nicer. Ehhh, its debatable.
Softer? Absolutely. Mushier? For sure.
Parenthood will surely change anyone for the better.
I am sure 5 months is just the beginning.
Here's to a lifetime of learning, a lifetime of changes, and a lifetime with Lily.
