4 months: busy being busy?

4 months post: sorry this is a little late.  I will get to Lily's 4 month stats in a bit, but first I wanted to juice up my posts with a little more than baby slober. Lily is teaching me much more in life lessons than I was expecting...ALREADY. That makes me nervous.
I am just going to go ahead and say what you are not supposed to say about your own kid. Seriously? Could she get any cuter?

* Define "busy"*

bus·y
/ˈbizē/
Adjective
Having a great deal to do.
Verb
Keep occupied: "she busied herself with her new home".

I'm busy, your busy, my husbands busy, yada, yada, yada. Everyone thinks they are so "busy" with different things going on in their life, myself included. My recently adopted theory of the busy bees is that you will get done what you want to get done if it is important enough to you. My personal example: "I'm too busy to go to the gym" and "I'm to busy to cook dinner". Newsflash Kate! People with more than a Lily to take care of can work full time (like actual full time, not work from home or work for a few hours), work out every day, and somehow manage to cook dinner. I am still in the stage of exploration on how to accomplish this, but I am confident that I will make it happen in the near future. Solution: new philosophy. Don't sweat the small stuff, cut out unnecessary time consuming things that don't make a difference in your life, spend as much time with family as possible, take care of yourself with diet and exercise so you can keep up with Lily when she starts RUNNING soon, and most importantly HAVE MORE FUN. I am so blessed to have a handsome loving husband, perfect chubster Lily, beautiful home, dream job and live in paradise. YES you have permission to vomit on me now.

swoon :)

OK- off my soap box. now to LILY. She's my chubby wubby, hand sucking, loud farting, spitting, mullet having, spoiled rotten angel. She's 16 pounds (no fat jokes please) and in the 92nd percentile. She is 25 inches long (75th percentile) and continues to have a very large noggin (92nd percentile). I can't take all the credit, I'm blaming Austin on the almost off the chart measurements. Baby clothing. My weakness. However, I would like to slap a few brands across the face. Lily can wear anywhere from 3 months to 6-12 month outfits. Really? I would like to invent a universal baby clothing size chart.   She can now roll over, smile, laugh, scream, and snore like her daddy. She loves her jungle gym thing that lays on the floor and her bumbo. We tried rice cereal but she HATED it, so I am working up a new trickery to try on her. She is happiest in the morning. If I didn't grow that thing inside of me I would say she's not mine. If you know me at all, I am not a morning person. She sleeps from about 8-9 till 4-5. 8 hours and not a SECOND more. You better figure out whats more important (cleaning up the house or catching some extra zzzzz's)  because she's like a ticking clock. She grabs whatever she can get her little hands on and her smile will melt your heart.

I am close with my parents, and I always love to see them. But, I have NEVER been so excited for my mother to be coming to stay with me for a month. Ya-Ya is coming to back to Hawaii. Thank goodness. My mother and grandma (Nana) are making the voyage for the month of June. I am excited for them to witness my little miracle's every milestone, and to show my Nana the island. I am sure Lily will be *extra spoiled while they are here. And I am sure keeping off the baby weight will be *extra difficult. Me: "Nana, this is so good! What's in it?" Nana: "Do you really wanna know? About a pounds of butter and sugar". Me: Spit the bite out of my mouth. NOT. haha. Her cooking is delicious.  However I will have to practice my self control. I am only 7 pounds away from my goal weight. *high five.

I still haven't decided if bearing your sole on a blog is tacky and TMI or if it is entertaining and fun, so if I delete this after a few days you will have your answer. If it is TMI just let me know. Or stop reading.
Mahalo.
